St Philips Family Law Practice Group Deliver London Seminar
On 23rd September 2009 members of St Philips Family Law Practice Group delivered a seminar to 9 major legal practices in the heart of Legal London. The seminar was hosted by Collyer Bristow in Bedford Row and covered topics as diverse as “Bankruptcy Divorce and the Matrimonial Home” “Media Access to the Family Courts” and “Recusal Applications, Law and Procedure”. The speakers were Angus Burden (Junior Counsel in Hill v Haines [2008] 1 FLR 1192), Jonathan Nosworthy, and Huw Jones (Junior Counsel in El Farargy v El Farargy [2007] 3 FCR 711). The seminar was followed by a short drinks reception.
The speakers were supported by Chris Owen, St Philips CEO, Liz McGrath, head of the family law practice group, and Vanessa Meachin, head of matrimonial finance, along with other members of the practice group. The seminar proved a great success, concentrating a great deal of information into a short evening session. It was very well received by those attending and the feedback since has been overwhelmingly positive.
