Corporate and Gross Negligence Manslaughter
The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 creates a greater risk of managers of organisations being prosecuted for gross negligence manslaughter. There is also an increased tendency towards prosecutions of individuals for gross negligence manslaughter involved in a range of activities from adventurous pastimes to the sharing of illicit drugs. The Criminal Group offers wide experience of advice and advocacy in all such situations.
Members of the group have regularly appeared in high profile cases of gross negligence manslaughter including deaths that occurred in hospitals, nursing homes and on a pleasure boat.
