Ben Mills prosecutes "Ruthless Multi-Millionaire Loan Shark"...

John Kiely was convicted by a jury of blackmail, acquiring, concealing, disguising, converting or transferring criminal property, and unlawfully failing to give notice of a change in circumstances.

Prosecutor Ben Mills said that Kiely, who has a conviction for assault and comes from the travelling community, made a profit of £2.9m between October 2003 and his arrest in October last year.

He was jailed for five years on 5th August, at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court
