Sports Barrister honoured by Birchfield Harriers

Blondel Thompson, a specialist crime and sports law barrister has been bestowed the honour of Honorary Vice President of the highly renowned Birchfield Harriers Athletics Club, based in Birmingham.

The Club has presented Ms Thompson with this tribute in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the Club.

Blondel is an athlete and British and Commonwealth record holder and also the mother of Daniel Caines, former World Indoor Champion at 400m, and sister to two professional footballers.

Aside from the participation in athletics Blondel is also an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport, (based in Lausanne, Switzerland); she is on the panel membership for Sports Resolutions, a panel member for the Disciplinary Tribunals of UK Athletics and was appointed as Chairwoman in 2001 for The Football Association Appeals Board.
