Two Barristers Appointed as Recorders

Rosalyn Carter and Elizabeth Walker, members of Family Law Practice Group, are pleased to announce their appointment as Recorders from the 1st May 2012, sitting in private and public law family matters on the North Eastern Circuit.

Both Rosalyn and Elizabeth were called in 1994, and have practised predominantly in family work since completion of their pupillage. In later years, they have both specialised in complex public law proceedings, involving serious non-accidental injury, sexual and physical abuse and neglect. They are both delighted to have achieved this appointment at the same time, given their close working relationship and friendship for the last 18 years.

Head of Chambers, Mr Kevin Hegarty QC commented, "The whole of St Philips Chambers wishes to congratulate Ros and Liz on their deserved appointments. It is testament to their standing in the legal community and a recognition for them personally. This brings the total number of Recorders in Chambers to 33."
