Regulatory Law
In a world of increasing regulation of all activities, St Philips Chambers has a dedicated Regulatory Team that provides both advocacy and advice services across all the major disciplines of regulatory work. The focus of the group is firstly to build upon the wide experience and expertise of its individual members and secondly to be ready to react to the challenges of any new regulatory regimes that appear.
The aim is to provide a number of specialist counsel able to provide expertise to assist both the experienced instructing solicitor and those for whom this work is subsidiary to other areas of work.
Recognition of the success of the team is evidenced by the large number of instructions we receive from Government Departments and Agencies (several counsel are on the Attorney General Unified List of Prosecuting Counsel), Statutory Bodies, Local Authorities and a wide range of solicitors acting for private organisations from multi national companies to private clients.
The Regulatory Team meet regularly and pool their knowledge and ideas striving to further provide an integrated team of professionals who are able to assist those who both regulate and are regulated.
We provide regular seminars to outside organisations, a newsletter and encourage dialogue with all of those involved in the world of Regulation.
The basic principle for all of St Philips Chambers Regulatory Team is to provide clear no-nonsense practical advice to those whom it represents backed by a wealth of experience tailored to the clients specific needs.
