After a 7 week trial at Bristol Crown Court Zaheer Afzal secured an acquittal on behalf of his client Asim Khan who had been charged by the prosecution as a lynchpin in a multi handed conspiracy to supply high purity cocaine, heroin and cannabis between Birmingham, London, Cardiff and Gloucestershire.

Zaheer Afzal successfully challenged the forensic evidence presented by the prosecution’s scientists and experts. The trial required careful analysis of his client’s fingerprint evidence on drugs packaging.

His clear and calm focus on the case enabled him to present the jury with a viable alternative to the prosecution’s case.

He successfully dealt with the allegedly incriminating mobile telephone calls between co-defendants and mobile telephone cell site evidence collected against his client.

His careful analysis of the cell site evidence enabled him to show that the prosecution’s conclusions were flawed.

As a result of his efforts Zaheer Afzal successfully challenged the evidence presented by the prosecution resulting in a verdict of not guilty for his client.
