Richard Atkins QC represented the prosecution in the recent case of Lauren Jeska, a trans-gender athlete, who was convicted of the attempted murder of an official of UK athletics. The attack took place at the Alexander Stadium in March 2016. Ms Jeska had been in dispute with UK athletics over her eligibility to compete as a female athlete following her failure to provide relevant test samples in relation to her testosterone levels and other documentation.
